Stratford-upon-Avon, a medieval market town in England’s West Midlands, is the 16th-century birthplace of William Shakespeare. Possibly the most famous writer in the English language, Shakespeare is known for his sonnets and plays such as 'Romeo and Juliet' and 'Hamlet'. The Royal Shakespeare Company performs his plays in the Royal Shakespeare Theatre and adjacent Swan Theatre on the banks of the River Avon.

Statford upon Avon is not far, so a leisurely departure this morning arriving at The Walton Hotel late afternoon.

Saturday & Sunday

Saturday: A day dedicated to Stratford Upon Avon. We head into town for a day of sightseeing, history and Shakespeare. The Shakespeare Birthplace Trust has three sites that can be visited tracing the poet’s life story. Shakespeare’s Birthplace, Anne Hathaway’s Cottage & Shakespeare’s New Place.
The easiest way to navigate around the town to visit all these sites is via the ‘City Sightseeing’ Tour Bus. Hop on and hop off as you please to visit the sites, or if not visiting the sites just use it as a 1 hour guided town tour with running commentary.
In the afternoon a 1hr Cream Tea Cruise on The River Avon is included.

On Sunday we travel out and about around the honey coloured villages of The Cotswolds.

The Cotswolds is a picturesque region in south-central England, famous for its rolling hills and charming countryside. It’s known for honey-colored stone villages, historic cottages, and traditional market towns. With scenic walking trails and peaceful landscapes, it’s one of the most popular rural escapes in the UK.

*Door-to-door

Unless otherwise stated on the itinerary page, a *door-to-door service is offered wherever possible on tours of 4 days + within the area shown on the map on the outside back cover of our brochure. The eligibility of a *door-to-door pick-up can be checked via the link titled 'Home Pick-Up Map' tab on this tour. Pick-ups from dwellings at the end of private drives are only offered after inspection by a Jones Login representative. Clients in cul-de-sacs and estates on the pick-up route of the tour coach will be required to meet the coach at the entrance to the cul-de-sac or estate. Additional door-to-door services are sometimes offered. Please enquire.

This service is unique in west Wales for a small family operated coach holiday company, and the service is arranged and operated 'in-house' by Jones Login. Where applicable your Confirmation & Invoice will confirm a *door-to-door pick-up.

Its operation depends on utilisation of driver and vehicle resources to work before or after our daily local contractual obligations, where a weekday departure and return occur. This sometimes means either an early** or leisurely*** departure depending on the distance of the destination.

Your 'Travel Ticket', which is posted approximately 10 days before departure will advise how the *door-to-door system for your tour will operate. You will be informed of your pick-up time, the route your *door-to-door vehicle will take and the rendezvous location and time with the tour coach. Sometimes the return journeys will operate differently to the outward journey. You will also be advised if this is the case.
