En route to the hotel visit Salisbury
A Cathedral city of ageless beauty and captivating history, Salisbury has been welcoming travellers since 1227.
At the city's heart is Salisbury Cathedral, a beacon that has attracted visitors for centuries. Gathered around the Cathedral is a modern medieval city, full of buildings crafted with the care of another age. Here history is brought to life by modern and original events, culture and activities.
Traditionally English with an independent spirit, the city's living heritage and lively culture rewards repeated visits. It is a creative and independent hub which has captivated visitors and inspired innovation for hundreds of years.
Thursday
Time to put on your finest and board the coach for the journey to Ascot to take part in the High Society event of the year.
To enjoy some of the post racing activities, we depart Ascot 19:30hrs for the transfer back to the hotel.
Friday
A change of scene for this years' return journey, visiting Stratford upon Avon
A market town with more than 800 years of history, containing not only many buildings that survive today and would have been familiar to Shakespeare, but also a thriving community offering a wide variety of leisure, accommodation, and shopping experiences.
EB=English Breakfast Incl., D=Dinner Included
The Windsor Enclosure offers the first views of the Royal Procession as it journeys up the straight mile and the
exhilaration of watching the horses charge past as they race towards the Winning Post. Enjoy Artisan food stalls,
Champagne and Pimms bars and picnics on the lawns. From Thursday onwards live-music plays into the early evening.
The Village Enclosure offers a unique perspective of the Royal Procession and exhilarating racing, set against the
backdrop of the iconic Ascot Grandstand. Situated in the centre of the course, guests can enjoy a diverse selection
of eateries and bars and an eclectic mix of music playing throughout the day and on into the evening.
The Queen Anne Enclosure is our most prestigious public enclosure at Royal Ascot. It offers uncompromised
views of the track and an impressive choice of bars and restaurants. With access to the pre-parade and parade
ring to view the horses and the traditional singing round the bandstand after racing it is the perfect enclosure
to enjoy all that the Royal Meeting has to offer.
Savour the relaxing yet elegant setting of the Garden Club, an exclusive space for those looking to socialise away from the hustle and bustle of the Queen Anne Enclosure while still being able to venture out and enjoy all it has to offer.
Pick ups in Sarn Park, Cardiff West & Magor Services are possible on the Wednesday.
However, following the visit to Stratford upon Avon on the Friday, the return route will be via the A40 & A465 Heads of the Valleys Road to Swansea West Services.
