The 3 star Salutation Hotel has been a hotel since 1699 and one of its most famous guests was Bonnie Prince Charlie. It is located in the centre of Perth and has plenty of period charm. There are 84 bedrooms, some rooms have only step up showers in the en suite whilst others have a shower over bath. All rooms have tea/coffee making facilities.
There is a traditional style bar on the ground floor and a pleasant, period restaurant on the first floor, which serves carvery dinners and buffet breakfasts. Occasional entertainment is arranged, depending upon numbers. Due to the hotel's very central location, there could be some noise in the busy summer season over weekends.
Table d'hote menu comprising a minimum of 3 courses with 3 choices plus tea/coffee; full Scottish breakfast.
MOBILITY: A lift accesses most parts of the hotel. It is important we are made aware of any guests that might have difficulty with stairs, so we can ensure suitable rooms near the lift are allocated.
