This morning we travel via the scenic Crieff and Aberfledy route to Pitlochry. Pitlochry is one of Scotland's most beautiful and vibrant places to visit. In the heart of Scotland with real hospitality, clear sparkling air, beautiful scenery, rich clan history, fine food, plenty of space and lots to see and do.

Sotland is well nown for its legends, so today we have included a chance to go Nessie hunting on a Loch Ness cruise. On then to Inverness, the cultural capital of the Scottish Highlands. See its 19th century Cathedral, stroll along the banks of River Ness and browse the indoor Victorian Market
Tuesday
This morning is to Fort William for time at leisure. Alternatively there is the option to go on the Gondola Ride up to 2150ft on the North face of Aonach Mor.
Before returning to our hotel, stop for a tour and tasting at nearby Dalwhinnie Distillery.
Wednesday
This morning, journey further into the Highlands to rwach Aviemore and enjoy a ride on the nostlagic Strathspey Railway. Take in some of the most spectacular views in Scotland looking accross the mountainsous landscape which epitomises the beautiful country. This afternoon visit the open -air Highland Folk Museum in Newtonmore. With over 30 historical buildings and thousands of artifacts, visitors will learn how Highland people lived and worked from the 1700s up until the 1960s!

Thursday
On our way back to Lockerbise we visit Edinburgh with a 60-90 minute guided city tour on the coach and a few hours at leisure.

We head fro home arriving back in West wales early to mid-evening.

The 3 star Duke of Gordon Hotel is situated in the town of Kingussie in the heart of the Highlands. A great base for visiting the Cairngorm National Park, Loch Ness or for taking trip along the Whisky Trail. The original Scottish Baronial style main building dates back to the late 1800's with more recent bedroom additions. There are a limited number of single rooms with walk in showers and 4 ground floor twin/doubles with walk in showers. The rest of the rooms have a shower over bath. The wood panelled reception has a log fire in cooler weather. The traditional style Balmoral Restaurant serves four course, choice dinner and full Scottish breakfast, seating guest at tables of 10. Regular entertainment takes place in the Ballroom. For 4 night night stays in 2025 - The hotel allocate groups 4 single, 9 twin and 9 double rooms. It may be possible to secure additional rooms and/or amend the breakdown of rooms held, but this must be requested especially and is strictly subject to the hotels agreement.
MOBILITY: There is a lift that serves a proportion of the bedrooms on the first and second floor and the hotel has eight ground floor rooms. The age of the building does mean that guests will encounter some steps with twelve rooms which are accessible by stairs only.
