An early departure as we head north with comfort stops en-route arriving at our hotel late afternoon.
DTuesday to Thursday
Excursion to Alnwick Garden, which is the inspiration of the current Duchess of Northumberland. This afternoon, visit neighbouring Alnwick Castle, made famous for as a setting for the Blackadder series and Harry Potter films.
Travel along George Wade's 'Military Road' tracing the path of Hadrian's Wall to Chesters Roman Fort, where we include admission. Part of Hadrian's Wall, Chesters is the best preserved Roman cavalry fort in Britain. On then to the market town of Hexham for free time, followed by a stop in Corbridge with its boutique shops and cafes.
Discover Durham, a historic city in North East England famous for its stunning Cathedral and Castle, both UNESCO World Heritage Sites.
Stroll along the scenic River Wear, explore charming cobbled streets, and enjoy independent shops, cafés, and traditional pubs.
With rich heritage, beautiful countryside views, and a vibrant atmosphere, Durham is the perfect destination for a memorable day out.

Return to west Wales vsiting Webbs of Wychbold. Much more than just a Garden Centre. Homeware, gifts and food makes for an ideal alternative to a motorway service area.

The 4 star Redworth Hall Hotel is an impressive 17th-century Jacobean Manor House, sympathetically extended over the years and situated in 26 acres of landscaped grounds. Home to 143 well-appointed, spacious twin/double ensuite bedrooms with a limited number being on the ground floor with low step in showers (request). There is a lift to the bedrooms, however some will be a walk from the public areas.
The 1744 Restaurant serves full English buffet breakfast and a three course, three choice dinner with tea and coffee. There's a relaxing bar to unwind and relax plus lounges to take a breath around the hotel.
'The Retreat' includes an indoor swimming pool, sauna, steam room, spa-bath and gym and for those not venturing out during the day, an attractive lounge and coffee shop. There's plenty of grounds to wander through and outside seating to enjoy.
